I inherited a proof of concept, with the aim to simplify booking holidays using a personalised recommendation engine in a web application and mobile app. I build up a small set of micro services, integrating with booking.com (and other hotel provider), payment integration through Stripe, on AWS using code pipelines, Elasticbeanstalk, DynamoDB and other AWS tools.
I directed the technology strategy to align with the startup’s goals short, medium and long term. Porter rapidly went to market on a short cycle iterative basis, with great feedback throughout.
